46 Pump Houses in West Jakarta Prepared Ahead of Rainy Season

Approaching rainy season, as many as 136 pumps with capacity 500-5,000 liters per second in 46 pump houses in West Jakarta have been prepared by Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency.

Those pump houses are very important to drain inundation on the location

West Jakarta SDA Sub-agency head, Purwanti conveyed, there are several inundation-prone points in West Jakarta, such as in Rawabuaya, Jelambar, Green Garden, Semanan, Patra Duri Kepa and Grogol.

"Those pump houses are very important to drain inundation on the location," she stated, Thursday (9/23).

Channel Normalization Work in Gang Udang Cempaka Baru has Reached 73.91 Percent

Her side also prepared 57 mobile pumps. 38 of them had been placed in inundation-prone points. One of them is located on Jalan Latumenten, Grogol.

"We also routinely normalize channels thus it can accommodate more water discharge and deploy 500 personnel. This number can increase depending on conditions," she mentioned.
